CLASSIFICATION PURPOSE Under direction, collects data and GPS points to help maintain department maps, and performs a variety of other duties to support the daily operations of the Miami County Sanitary Engineering Department.
JOB DUTIES Ability to comprehend simple instructions Collect GPS points for a digital map. Communicate effectively with other co-workers. Demonstrates regular, predictable, and punctual attendance.
MINIMUM CLASS QUALIFICATIONS FOR EMPLOYMENT High School Degree or Equivalent, or current High School student working towards diploma. Familiarity with the use of technology (computer, cellphone, tablet) Some experience in Microsoft Word and Excel
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Must possess a valid Ohio driver’s license. Experience with the use of GIS system preferred. Individuals must be self-motivated and possess problem-solving skills. Ability to learn and take direction from others.
UNUSUAL WORKING CONDITIONS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, drive, handle, grab, restrain, feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
