POSITION SUMMARY: Maintains financial and accounting records, prepares financial reports. Monitors budget, tracks expenditures, and processes invoices, purchase orders, and requisitions, balances cash and keeps records, maintains and processes payroll, manages inventory, manages and troubleshoots computer system.

QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of secondary education with Associates Degree in accounting or fiscal management with two years fiscal experience.  Position involves complex tasks and moderate degree of discretionary decision-making.  Must exercise judgment and have analytical skills.

DUTIES: Manages financial and accounting functions for the courts. Answers questions regarding financial status. Maintains and submits payroll. Maintains and tracks time off personnel records for court staff. Monitors and tracks all expenditures and processes invoices. Checks financial status for expenditure approval. Maintains cash book and balances all financial records. Makes bank deposits, writes checks, and distributes fines and fees. Manages court inventory. Researches, analyzes and recommends financial operational procedures. Serves on administrative management team. Maintains computer system. Oversees ordering of computer supplies and equipment for all court staff. Makes recommendations for budget needs. Assists in the development of departmental policies, procedures, and programs. Trains clerk staff in all financial operations. Maintains statistics and reports for the court including Supreme Court Report. Develops and maintains financial portion of all grants. Meets all job safety requirements and standards that pertain to essential functions. Serves as liaison with County and State Auditor. Performs other duties as assigned.
